ABOUT US

Stephanie Wohlters is the founder of Magnolia Bake and Cake. In 2008, Stephanie decided to pursue her passion for cake and cake design by opening the original Magnolia Bake and Cake shop on the West Rand of Johannesburg. Driven by her creativity and natural talent for plastic icing modelling, she quickly established herself as one of the top cake suppliers to various party venues, private organizers and walk-in customers. Stephanie considers individual design and attention to detail to be the driving force behind Magnolia, and strives to incorporate this vision in every cake that she creates.


Henneli Steyn started her baking career in 2003 working as an apprentice at a bakery in Sandton, Johannesburg. After two years of experience at the bakery, which included managing the wedding cake division, she enrolled at the Gauteng Academy of Baking and Confectionery. She was named the Academy's Top Student in 2006, and completed her studies with a 90% average in 2007, achieving a FoodBev SETA recognized National Certificate. A Lindt Chocolate practical workshop further enabled her to become a sought-after creator of chocolate decorations and truffels. Henneli joined the Magnolia Bake and Cake team in 2008, and shares the love of creating edible art with her friend and partner Stephanie.
